Where do the funds go?

In 1947, the profits from the sale of distilled spirits were designated to return back to the community.  Each year, money is distributed to the state, local government, the public library, law enforcement, and alcohol education initiatives.  Mecklenburg County receives 47.5 % (to include incorporated towns), the City of Charlotte receives 47.5%, and the Public Library of Mecklenburg County receives 5%.
