What does "Mixed Beverage" mean?  New permittee?
The term "Mixed Beverage" means (at least to us) sales to restaurants, private clubs, etc. These businesses, called "permittees" pay an additional tax over what retail patrons pay for spirits. This additional tax amounts to $3.75 per .75 liter bottle. In Mecklenburg County, there are approximately 1,300 establishments licensed by the state of North Carolina to sell distilled spirits "by the drink" on their premises.

Ordering
Establishments may purchase their spirits the following ways for our central Mixed Beverage outlet (located at 3333 N. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28206):
* Online using the "e-licensee" tab in the main navigation tabs of this site
* Calling in the order to 704-731-5828
* Faxing the order to 704-376-3863

The Mecklenburg County ABC Board offers 21 locations to serve our permittees. Permittees are assigned one home store/pickup location of their choosing. Permittees may request a different location by calling 704-731-5856 to speak with the Mixed Beverage Manager or the current Manager on Duty or email at
Store19@meckabc.com.

Note: All allocated Bourbons for Mixed Beverage customers must be purchased from Store #19. Thank you for your cooperation.

Store #19 located at 3333 N. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28206	Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.	Saturday: 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Store #31, located at 7212 East Independence Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28227. ***Express Service available at this location	Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.	Saturday: 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
All other Mixed Beverage Store locations	Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.	Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Our new Express Service offers our Mixed Beverage permittee business customers convenience and flexibility to shop the aisles for new and current products as well grab 'n go up to 24 bottles without a previously placed order. 

 Forms of Payment Accepted
We accept cash, money orders, debit cards, credit cards and Fintech at all our Mixed Beverage locations. We also accept company checks ONLY if they have an original letter of credit from the bank on file.

*Attention all Permittees: New NCGA Mandate Information*
In an effort to address the growing issue of Human Trafficking, the North Carolina General Assembly mandated that the Human Trafficking Commission develop a poster and make it available to certain establishments for mandatory display. These specific employers are required to display the poster “on the premises in a place that is clearly conspicuous and visible to employees.” The list of employers who must display the posters includes ABC Permittees (any business who has an ABC permit).
