ASSET Program: Alcohol Seller/Server Excellence Training

The Mecklenburg County ABC Law Enforcement Division provides a FREE program to ABC permitted establishments to educate employees on the possession and sale of alcohol. The program, conducted by an ABC officer, covers the following areas:

• Underage Sales
• Forms of Acceptable Identification
• Storage and Handling of Alcohol
• Employee Age Requirements
• Other Prohibited Sales
• Dram Shop (Civil Suit)
• Happy Hour Regulations

The Mecklenburg County ABC Law Enforcement Division encourages permitted establishments to take advantage of this free program. If you would like an officer to come to your location, please contact us by phone: 704-731-5830, or submit the following request form.

Mecklenburg County ABC Law Enforcement also offers ASSET classes to those one or two people who desire training. Training is held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the ABC headquarters. This is free to all participants. Please call 704-731-5830 to schedule the class you would like to attend. This is also beneficial to bars and restaurants who may only have one or two employees who need to attend.
