Alcohol Education ABC Grant Program

A Little History...

Since 1948, the Mecklenburg County ABC Board has directed part of its profits back to the community through a statutory distribution under Alcohol Education.  As of June 30, 2012, the Board has returned $48,104,403 to organizations in our community that prevent, educate on the dangers of, and treat substance abuse.  Since 1996, part of that money has supported a grant program.  Eligible organizations designated as 501-C(3) according to the Internal Revenue Service who provide programming that specifically deals with substance abuse prevention, education, treatment, or research in the field of substance abuse have received financial support.
